My friends and I
Once Upon A Time (2020)
is a pandemic fairy tale. I photographed my friends once a week from late January to early March 2020 in New York, then places them into scenes I'd photographed around the world in the past. The increasingly battered landscapes, and added barriers between subjects and viewer, emphasize the pandemic's isolating effect.
